This article aims to critically analyze the main CAD/CAM technologies applied to oral rehabilitation with dental implants, focusing on the evolution of digital systems, clinical applications, and the materials used in the digital workflow. The research was conducted through a qualitative literature review, covering Brazilian sources published between 2018 and 2022, including scientific articles, monographs, and technical papers. The results demonstrate that the integration of CAD/CAM into dental practice has led to significant advances in procedural accuracy, treatment predictability, and the aesthetic and functional quality of implant-supported rehabilitations. It was observed that digital systems allow greater control over the planning and execution of clinical steps, enabling the fabrication of prosthetic structures with excellent marginal adaptation, durability, and anatomical customization. The literature also highlights the clinical benefits of milled resins and advanced ceramics, such as zirconia and lithium disilicate, as well as the role of high-performance intraoral scanners. Reductions in chair time, improved communication between clinic and laboratory, and increased patient satisfaction were also identified as positive impacts of CAD/CAM adoption. Despite the initial investment and the need for training, the technology has become an essential tool for modern restorative dentistry, promoting not only innovation but also a transformation of clinical and laboratory workflows. It is concluded that the careful and well-planned use of CAD/CAM technologies offers significant technical and human benefits, making it an effective, predictable, and excellence-oriented alternative for implant-supported oral rehabilitation.
