INTEGRATION BETWEEN DATA CENTERS AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration between data centers and regulatory compliance as a strategic element for the consolidation of the digital economy. The objective was to understand how the articulation between technological infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance contributes to operational resilience, data protection, and organizational competitiveness in a global scenario of increasing regulatory complexity. The research, qualitative in nature, was based on a bibliographic review of national sources, enabling the construction of a consistent theoretical framework on digital governance, data security, and technological innovation applied to data centers. The results revealed that the absence of specific regulatory frameworks compromises the attractiveness of investments in Brazil, while the integration between compliance and technological innovation strengthens legal predictability and increases institutional trust. It was also found that the use of artificial intelligence and automation in compliance management improves the capacity for monitoring and risk mitigation but requires flexible and updated regulatory structures. It is concluded that the articulation between public policies, corporate practices, and compliance mechanisms is an indispensable path for data centers to consolidate themselves as resilient, secure, and competitive environments on a global scale.
