Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a public health problem that can lead to the need for Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), primarily through hemodialysis. This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional status of hemodialysis patients treated at the Monteiro Leite Hemodialysis Center in Belém, Pará. The analysis included anthropometric, clinical, and biochemical data from 54 patients, revealing that most were eutrophic, but with significant malnutrition and obesity. Systemic arterial hypertension was the most common comorbidity, and half of the patients were asymptomatic during hemodialysis. The results reinforce the importance of individualized nutritional assessment and the role of a nutritionist in the multidisciplinary team, aiming to control metabolic complications, promote quality of life, and optimize treatment. Continuous nutritional monitoring is essential to minimize the impacts of CKD and promote the well-being of patients on RRT.
