Introduction: Childhood obesity is a serious public health issue, with a growing prevalence globally. In 2022, approximately 39 million children under 5 years of age were obese or overweight. To combat childhood obesity, interventions are needed that promote changes in eating behavior, increase physical activity, and improve food environments. Strategies involving schools, families, and public policies have shown better results. Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence regarding nursing intervention strategies for childhood obesity in health services. Method: An integrative review was conducted using the US National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Web of Science, and Elton B. Stephens Company (EBSCO) databases, limiting the publication year to a maximum of 5 years, following the PRISMA tool. The population was defined as children and adolescents with obesity. Results: Ten articles were included that addressed the importance of the nurse's role in childhood obesity. Conclusion: The findings of this study highlighted that nurses play a central role in the prevention and promotion of healthy habits, making it essential to invest in their training to improve care and reduce the incidence of childhood obesity.
